Intake Specialist

Minnetonka, MN

Humera is seeking an Intake Specialist for our client, a medical insurance provider, located in Minnetonka, MN. In this role you will be responsible for triaging communication, and transaction requests that enter the Network Management division. The Intake Specialist will also be responsible for performing data entry duties to ensure that transaction requests are properly formatted to be processed through existing technology and workflows. This is a long-term contract opportunity.

Duties

Data Entry 35%

  • Enter data received via PDF, fax or mail into spreadsheets or systems to allow for electronic processes to occur.
Communication Triage 25%
  • Review incoming communications and route appropriately within Network Management.
  • Respond to emails, issue requests and other communication to provide professional and appropriate responses and updates.
  • Research status requests by reviewing transaction details and system set up in operational systems such as Symfact, CACTUS, COPIS, HealthRules, COSMOS and/or NDB.
  • Ensure that all communications are tracked and routed through designated systems and processes.
Transaction and Contract Intake 25%
  • Review requests received from providers, either at the practitioner or entity level, and process according to documented procedures.
Personal and Team Development 15%
  • Attend and participate in team, department and all-employee meetings.
  • Maintain appropriate communication with other sections of the Network Management team.
  • Provide back up and additional support to other function teams within Network Management
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

    Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of PC software (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
  • CACTUS, COSMOS, COPIS or HealthRules database knowledge a plus.
