File Clerk

Minnetonka, MN

Humera is seeking a File Clerk for our client, a large health insurance provider, located in Minnetonka, MN. This position will include a lot of filing, scanning, purging, and document collection. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented, demonstrate a high level of competency in multi-tasking, excellent organizational skills, prioritization and efficient time management skills. This is a long term contract opportunity.


Records Management Projects

  • Records and file management activities such as database data entry, file maintenance, off-site storage files, authorized destruction, report clean-up, and other duties as assigned that are similar in nature to the activities described above.
  • Assist the Director of Records Management on special projects assigned by SVP and General Counsel and/or Sr Director, Associate General Counsel (audits, investigation, litigation, third party requests for information, etc).
  • Assist the Director of Records Management with projects related to contract file management (provider, employer, broker, etc)
Special Projects
  • Take direction and act with accuracy and timeliness to perform special projects, which may include assembling and analyzing facts and/or documents related to specific projects.
File Maintenance
  • Accurately maintain Law Department files including creating, filing, retrieving, coordinating off-site storage and closing files.
  • Understand and timely and accurately use, maintain, and obtain information as well as run reports from the Compliance 360 file management system
  • Operate office equipment such as photocopier, fax machines and scanner and coordinate service for such equipment


Education and Experience

  • 1-2+ years of recent and related Administrative Support
  • High School Diploma or GED
Skills and Abilities
  • Expertise with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated competency in multi-tasking, time management and organization skills.
  • The individual must be able to maintain confidential information appropriately, as well as the flexibility to deal with ambiguity, consistency and rapid change.
  • This candidate must possess the initiative and resourcefulness to handle projects with a can-do attitude.
  • Must be diplomatic and tactful with all levels of the organization
  • The individual must have the ability to exchange routine information using tact requiring good oral and written skills.
  • Must be able to carry out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision and appropriate timelines.
  • Must have a strong level of composure and approach-ability.
  • Have the functional and technical knowledge, and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures and documents.
